How to add Grammarly extension to Word

1. Download the extension on your browser.

Before getting to see the application at work on word, you need to install the application on your laptop. Grammarly can be downloaded from any web browser. This includes Firefox and Google Chrome. Downloading the application will enable you to edit your document through Word or drag it to the Grammarly application.

To install the app;

1. Go to the Grammarly website.

You could also just type in Grammarly which will take you to the official website.

• If you already have a Grammarly account you will be required to log in.

2. Sign up to get a Grammarly account.

• If you do not have an account you will be required to sign up using either your email, Facebook account, or Google account.

You could choose the one you’re comfortable with and proceed to sign up for a Grammarly account.

3.Log into your account.

• After signing up you’ll be able to log in to your account and access your Grammarly home page.
• You will be required to state what your writing is all about.

You can choose from the options provided. However, you have the option of skipping all these steps and proceeding to your homepage.

2. Install Grammarly on Microsoft Office.

• Scroll down to” Apps”.

After opening apps, you’ll be directed to a page that will allow you to download Grammarly for different applications on your PC.

3. Click on Grammarly for Microsoft office.

This will allow you to download the Grammarly extension that can be used on Microsoft word to fix all the grammatical errors that you may have.

4. Click on Install.

• In the top right corner of your laptop, click on the download button.
• It will lead you to where the Grammarly download is.

5. Open the Grammarly folder.

Once you open the just downloaded Grammarly extension for Microsoft word, Click on get started. You will be able to see an option for the Grammarly extension for Microsoft Word and Microsoft outlook.

You will see an option for Grammarly for outlook and word.

• Click on Install.

6. Open Microsoft Word.

Once installation is complete, open Microsoft Word and open any document in Microsoft Word to see if the application is working. You will see on the top right corner an icon for Grammarly. This means that the application is active on your laptop.

7. Click on the “Open Grammarly” button.

8.Log into your Grammarly account.

You will be required to log into your Grammarly account before you can use the application on Microsoft word documents.

• After logging in, you will be able to see all the mistakes that are present in your document.
