• When you enter the dungeon, issue the following script command in your chat window:

  /script GameTooltip.Temphide = function() GameTooltip:Hide() end; GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Temphide);

  This will disable tooltips.

• Once you've finished the encounter, you can turn tooltips back on with the following:

  /script GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Show);

There I stand in the murky waters of Orgrimmar having just fished up Old Crafty. I've got the rascally little devil in my off-hand.

And yes, that's my pet chicken swimming under water.

It took me two sessions to fish up Old Crafty. In total, I caught 132 fish before earning the achievement. The drop rate is supposed to be much lower than that, so I'm assuming I got really, really lucky.

In the interest of my own sanity, I've picked up an old warrior alt named Fengdu (that's his ugly mug to the left). My plan is to treat Fengdu quite differently than Hynjoku. If you've followed this blog for a while, you probably know that the point of Hynjoku was to experience as much content as possible. After leveling 2 other toons to 70, I felt like I had skipped a lot of the game for the sake of leveling quickly.

That's not the case with Fengdu, though. My plan is to get this guy to 70 as quickly as possible and to focus on PVP entirely. If I never tank an instance, I don't care. If I don't max out all the reputations, no big deal.

Fengdu is all about the PVP. Let's see how it goes.

Unfortunately, I've fallen into a bit of a rut with this. Every night I usually do the daily PVP quest, daily Cooking quest, and the Skyguard dailies.

This leads to an interesting tangent: Why do the Sha'tari Skyguard daily quests?

The most obvious reason is to gain access to the [Skyguard Silver Cross], which would be tons of fun in PVP. Other than that, though, I'm not too interested in the other rewards. I'm not a big fan of the flying nether rays and probably wouldn't ride one, given the opportunity.

For me, the Skyguard dailies are a nice source of income. I especially like camping one of the Skyguard Prisoner spawn points, and keeping the area clear until he shows up. Just doing the Skettis-based Skyguard daily quests can easily result in 50+ gold.

Anyway, the original point of this post wasn't to talk about the Sha'tari Skyguard, but I guess I'll have to get back to my rut discussion next time.

Something wonky has been going on with the WoW Armory lately. For some reason, Hynjoku's data has been unavailable for about a week. I first noticed this problem on someone else's character, and thought it was because they had just started playing the character again after a long layoff. Now it's happening to Hynjoku and I play every day (mostly)!

I'll admit I haven't been to the forums where I'm sure there's some long post about this with calls for blue response, blah blah blah. But heck, I don't care! I've got a web site, and I'm gonna moan and groan about it!
